Consultant Role

Position: Consultant Role

Nimble is looking for consultants to join our high performing consulting team. Candidates have 2-3 years of consulting experience from management consulting firm. Through various client roles, you will get exposure to organizational change management, strategic communications, training, process improvement, road mapping and strategic planning, and other frameworks used to help our clients.

Requirements for the Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of consulting experience
  •  Demonstrated analytical skills (quantitative, qualitative) and examples of deliverables you owned and authored for client projects
  • Comfortable driving work streams within a large team and owning major deliverables end-to-end for clients
  • Able to flex into various functional areas (process improvement, change management, training, program management, project management, quantitative analytics, etc.) with the support of the Nimble team
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively; knows when to ask for help and anticipates risks or challenges within their scope of work
  • Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity and to adjust personal style to different situations
  • Can work independently while developing strong working relationships with peers and various leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; Excellent writer/presenter
  • Strong attention to detail and reliable (important for client delivery purposes)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, MS project, Visio, and a desire to learn technology

Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant you will lead major deliverables and smaller work streams under the direction of a Nimble team and grow quickly in your responsibilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Support one or more client engagements as necessary under Nimble
  • Apply frameworks for organizing client deliverables / your client role may change in terms of the functional area or type of work you perform for that project
  • Own one large or multiple smaller work streams within a project scope
  • Strong documentation and note taking for project team meetings, deliverables, proposal development, etc.
  • Support and participate in high level executive meetings
  • Participate in and contribute to operations of Nimble: recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, marketing, research, or events hosted by Nimble for clients or recruits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management skills: problem solving, tracking work, status reports, risk management (PMI certification) or PMO (Program Management Office) experience
  • Master’s Degree (MBA, MPP, etc.)
  • Strong references required for consideration, preferably from clients or direct supervisors

Note:  Travel as required by the client

(Currently travel is in the bay area only, but there could be client work requiring further travel as needed)
